چکیده
The effect of blending a small amount high-density polyethylene (HDPE) on molecular entanglements during melt-drawing ultrahigh-molecular-weight (UHMW-PE) was investigated in this study. UHMW-PE powders with HDPE added and bimodal MW distribution were synthesized by reactor blending. In situ wide-angle X-ray diffraction small-angle scattering measurements UHMW-PE/HDPE films performed to evaluate the state basis behavior oriented crystallization extended-chain crystal formation. addition reduced tight originating from chains, further that transmitted applied stress. These results demonstrated significantly affected chains melt-drawing. • We clarified chains. blended distributions using metallocene catalyst system. WAXD SAXS performed. Further transmit

Synthesis of high molecular weight polyethylene using FI catalyst
A FI Zr-based catalyst of bis[N-(3,5-dicumylsalicylidene)-2′,6′diisopropylanilinato]zirconium(IV) dichloride was prepared and used for polymerization of ethylene. The effects of reaction conditions on the polymerization were examined in detail. The increase in ethylene pressure and rise in polymerization temperature up to 35 oC were favorable for catalyst/MAO to raise the catalytic activity as...
متن کاملGrafting of Acrylamide to Low Density Polyethylene During Melt Processing
Acrylamide was grafted in low density polyethylene during melt processing in the presence of a free radical initiator using a torque rheometer in a closed system. Effects of processing time, acrylamide and benzoyl peroxide concentrations were studied. FTIR studies revealed that the degree of grafting increased by an increase in acrylamide concentration. Maximum grafting was obtained at 7 mi...

Effect of Matrix Molecular Weight on the Dispersion of Nanoclay in Unmodified High Density Polyethylene
The effect that polymer molecular weight has on the dispersion of relatively polar montmorillonite (MMT) in nonpolar, unmodified high density polyethylene (HDPE) was examined. Polymer layered silicate (PLS) nanocomposites were prepared via melt compounding in a single screw extruder using three unmodified HDPE matrices of differing molecular weight and organically modified MMT (organoclay) in c...
