The effect of blending a small amount high-density polyethylene (HDPE) on molecular entanglements during melt-drawing ultrahigh-molecular-weight (UHMW-PE) was investigated in this study. UHMW-PE powders with HDPE added and bimodal MW distribution were synthesized by reactor blending.
